Carb on Carb

“tangled, emotional indie rock… noisy and heartfelt, bridging the gap between 1990s emo bands like Rainer Maria and current counterparts like Waxahatchee.” – Mess + Noise

‘It’s Been a Rough Year’ brings a new sound for Carb on Carb, a self-professed ‘emotive-punk band’. Written at the end of a hard year for them and many of their friends, ‘It’s Been a Rough Year’ plays with nostalgic guitar lines and emotive pauses, engaging the remnants of 00s power punk. Carb on Carb – Nicole Gaffney (vocals, guitar) and James Stutely (drums) – have already racked up an impressive touring resume since forming a few short years ago, with dates across China, South East Asia, two massive tours in the US, including showcases at the prestigious CMJ and Gainesville’s The Fest (twice), plus multiple runs across Australia including at Sad By Sad West and shows with The Hotelier, Joyce Manor, Jess Locke, The Courtneys and more.
